Is iControlWP secure?
We built iControlWP with security in mind. We delayed releasing the final product until we had implemented some of the best security around.
Prevention is better than cure, and we take several precautions to ensure your data, your account, and your WordPress sites are secure:
- Any and all sensitive account data stored by iControlWP is 128bit-AES encrypted.
- iControlWP does not handle, store, or receive any credit card or payment details: we offload this to Stripe.
- The iControlWP WordPress plugin requires a unique identification key to be provided before a site is added to any iControlWP account.
- After a site is added to iControlWP, a secret PIN code is required before successfully connecting with the iControlWP WordPress plugin
- The iControlWP WordPress plugin will never respond to any action request that originates from anywhere else except from worpitapp.com
The last point is very important and we believe we’re the only system of its kind to do this (but we could happily be wrong in this regard).
We force every connection to “handshake” with worpitapp.com to verify that the request was valid, so there can be no spoofing of your plugin.
