Development of the iControlWP platform is in full swing. This doc. will help you to anticipate what’s coming your way in near and future releases.

The Roadmap below represents core feature developments that help you see what direction we plan to take the product and the sorts of things you can look forward to.

This Roadmap can, and probably will, change and evolve often, and also may not represent the actual releases that you see on the product. We’ll try to keep it as up-to-date as possible though.

iControlWP v2.3 (Revels) – due mid July 2013 – Released

• User Interface enhancements and improvements to responses.
• WP Engine support.
• WordPress Website migrations ( = clone without the URL replacement therapy )
• Improved accounts & billing features.

iControlWP v2.2 (Bounty) – due late May 2013 – Released

Lots of features coming including:

• More account security features, Plugin/Theme install options, email history and more [details]
• Improved WordPress installer (cPanel / MySQL+FTP)
• WordPress Website cloning using cPanel [details]

iControlWP v2.1 (Boost) – due mid April 2013 – Released

Website cloning. It’s what we’ve all been waiting for and it’s nearly here…

iControlWP v2.0 (Twix) – due late March / early April 2013 – Released

Version 2.0 is a big one. Here are some of the bigger changes that are coming:

• A beautiful, new, fully-responsive interface.
• WordPress Comments management.
• New, better, pay-as-you-go pricing so you don’t pay for sites in bulk – you pay only for the sites you have on your account.
• New trial feature for iControlWP and WorpDrive.

iControlWP v1.4 (KitKat) – late-January 2013 – Released

Note: while this is released, translation work is on-going.

A feature that’s been long-overdue: Fully multilingual iControlWP and WorpDrive.

iControlWP was built from the ground-up to fully support international time-zones and languages. We plan to add the finishing touches to multilingual support within iControlWP and release Spanish, German and Japanese versions.

iControlWP v1.3.5 (Drifter) – mid-late January 2013 – Released

Support for FTPS in WorpDrive.

iControlWP v1.3 (Wispa) – mid-January 2013 – Released

This feature will see updates to the WorpDrive system including:

• full support for secure SFTP transfer of website files
• much improved user interface
• lots of fixes and improvements adding support for many more website configurations.

iControlWP itself will also be updated with:

• improved Theme management (much like our plugin manager)
• user configuration wizards so you can set-up your account quicker and easier than ever before
• site groups with dynamic smart groups.

iControlWP v1.2 (Mars) – November 2012 – Released

This release saw the inclusion of WorpDrive – our premier WordPress Backup and Recovery platform.

Other WordPress management features were added including:

• bulk WordPress security management
• bulk plugin management using perhaps the coolest bulk plugin manager available today

iControlWP v1.1 – September 2012 – Released

This was another major release that saw huge improvements to the features available in iControlWP to manage multiple WordPress websites. New features included bulk WordPress optimizations such as cleaning up a WordPress site, and optimizing the WordPress databases.

New security mechanisms were added to improve system and user security.

iControlWP Version 1.0 – June 2012 – Released

This was our first iControlWP release that saw basic WordPress management features such as bulk updating of plugins, themes and the WordPress itself.
