The following document does not represent the Terms of Service that govern the use of the iControlWP software. Instead, this document is provided to outline the basics in a clear, easy-to-understand way. Understanding this document does not constitute, under any circumstance, agreement to iControlWP Terms of Service.

At iControlWP, we just want to provide a WordPress admin service without hassle and complication from anyone.

But it’s the 21 century and it would be naive to think it’s going to go that way. So we cover our backs with fully detailed Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy documents that all users, free or paid, must agree to before using and signing up with iControlWP.

There’s a lot of reading in there, and you must fully understand the contents and accept them. This document is provided solely as a summary and will never replace the Terms of Service. If there is any conflict or discrepancy between this document and the Terms of Service, Terms of Services always takes precedence.

The number one rule here is simple: if you don’t agree, don’t sign up. We wont be offended at all.

Here goes:

  1. iControlWP has never, is never, and will never be responsible for any loss or damages on your part, monetary or otherwise when you use the iControlWP software. You use it entirely at your own risk.
  2. If you use iControlWP and then decide to stop, iControlWP is also not responsible for any loss or damages on your part, monetary or otherwise after you use the iControlWP software. I.e. Agreement to our Terms of Service extends indefinitely after you have stopped using it.
  3. Like you, we don’t appreciate it when people are rude. If you have a problem with the iControlWP software, we have a help desk and you can contact us on it at any time. We want iControlWP to work well for you. If you’re abusive, you may receive any one or all of the following responses, regardless or whether you paid money or not: ignored, warned, or your account with be suspended or deleted indefinitely. It’s up to iControlWP. Threatening behaviour, rudeness, and verbal and physical abuse is a violation of iControlWP‘s Terms of Service. Play nice. Be nice. Anonymity provided by the Internet is an not acceptable excuse for being a horrible person.
  4. iControlWP is free when you only want to manage 3 websites. If you need or want more, you have to pay a few pennies for each site each month. If you don’t like this, you can find a free or better priced product elsewhere.
  5. Paying for iControlWP doesn’t give you more rights or access to special support privileges than other/free members, except access to the particular services for which you have paid.
  6. All sensitive data stored in our database is encrypted. This means if someone manages to get a hold of the database, they can’t do anything with it without the necessary decryption salts/keys.
  7. We don’t SPAM. You can unsubscribe from the iControlWP newsletter at any time.
  8. Nobody is perfect and certainly no software is perfect. We try to make our product secure, reliable, fast and to the best quality we can. If it doesn’t work, we’ll try to fix it, but we can’t guarantee it’ll work for everybody, for all systems, all of the time.

We’ll keep adding to this list as we think of new stuff, but for now, I hope that helps clear up our position.

Remember, the official Terms of Service can be found here and these are what count – if there is any discrepancy between what you read here and the official TOS, the official TOS take full precedence.
