Since I happen to use Yubikeys for other things (they’re great by the way, I highly recommend them) I enabled Yubikey 2-factor authentication to test it out. I found that although it did work, the login process was flaky. I would log in, then be told I had an incorrect login, then tried again, and nothing would happen. Then, maybe 5 or 10 seconds later the dashboard bar did appear at the top, and I was logged in. Looking at the logs, my login attempts were recorded as having an invalid password, which it was not. I turned off the Yubikey 2-factor authentication and all was well again. Maybe my ISP’s servers are too slow at processing this stuff?
