What does that mean?
iControlWP takes security seriously and we’re continuing our best efforts to ensure your data is always safe. Secure SSL browsing for the iControlWP App is mandatory.
What iControlWP Secure SSL means for you
Secure SSL wont change your iControlWP App experience.
SSL is another layer of security so that your browser talks with iControlWP securely.
Secure SSL prevents people sniffing the network with iControlWP. Without SSL, clever people out there can attempt to intercept your connection with iControlWP and hijack your session.
SSL makes this impossible.
Rather than make SSL an option, we’ve decided to enforce it. This reduces any risks from hackers attempting to take control of your accounts.
How do I know if I’m using iControlWP App on SSL?
The browser itself is your best indicator here. See the images below:
Firefox SSL Notice
Chrome SSL Notice
Internet Explorer SSL Notice
Note that we don’t actively support Internet Explorer – iControlWP works, but it’s not always guaranteed.
We’re very sorry if this upsets some people, but with Chrome, Firefox and Opera as much more viable browser options available, the time spent ensuring Internet Explorer works isn’t worth it.
With the iControlWP Advantage you Manage WordPress Better (and more securely)
